Courtney Hellman, MD
Dr. Hellman is a specialist in the medical and surgical treatment of the vitreous and retina, diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma. A native of Omaha, Dr. Hellman received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Colorado. She received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). After completing a one-year internship in internal medicine and a three-year residency program in ophthalmology at UNMC, Dr. Hellman completed a glaucoma fellowship at UNMC in June 2003 and a vitreoretinal disease and surgery fellowship in June 2004. Dr. Hellman is the first ophthalmologist in the area with fellowship training in both glaucoma and vitreoretinal disease and surgery. She joined Midwest Eye Care in August 2004.

Dr. Hellman is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She provides volunteer services for the One World Health Center, the Hope Outreach Medical Coalition, and Mission Cataract.
