David Hanks, DO
Dr. Hanks is a specialist in cataract and laser surgery, and the medical and surgical treatment of eye disease. Dr. Hanks was born in Idaho and received his undergraduate training at Northeast Missouri State University and Brigham Young University. He received his doctor of osteopathy degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and performed an internship at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso. He completed his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He acted as staff ophthalmologist and flight surgeon in the U.S. Army for four years before joining Midwest Eye Care in 1989.

Dr. Hanks is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a former chief of medical staff at a local hospital and serves on various hospital committees.
